Yan: I had seen some people, in west lands, who expressed a thoughtfulness of caring for their own health, because, their own health affected other people. Of the people I saw, I did not witness a depth of concern within the people's voices, nor within their body language, but still the idea was present... to care for one's self, because, if ill, then, the illness would negatively harm other people.

Alo: That is a good thing to think about... if, an individual truly cares for another person, then the individual will strive, to be suitable, to remain within another person's presence... to not cause the other person discomfort...

Yan: Most of us, I suspect, have not given it much thought... we are still, relatively young, and few illnesses... but our habits and way of life today, will, someday, affect our future health. After thinking about this, I have changed some of my behaviors, to give additional focus of today, so that tomorrow will be happier for Jun.

Alo: Also interesting thing to think about... not just thoughts of healthy foods, and healthy occupations, but also of not taking unnecessary risks... an elderly lady I once met, she was old, maybe, in her seventies, and had been in a wheelchair since sixteen... her aroma, described her to not have feeling below the waist... she had been crippled in a car wreck... I still feel heartache for her... she had no family to visit her, no friends... she was alone, and hurting... her eyes lit-up each time I visited her home...

Yan: From what I have seen, people like that are usually abandoned by family and friends... it is rare for a injured person to still have someone to talk to...

Alo: Tom's wife, is lucky, to have Tom... he will never leave her side...

Yan: Tom, he is far more virtuous than he believes of himself to be...

Alo: I agree... good man, and not know it...

Yan: Jun, her eyes have been red... I found a new ancient paragraph... the sentences point to one thing, but, to Jun and I, the message has touched too close to home... 'Ai Gong inquire Di Zi: 'What create love learning.' Kong Zi answer, say: 'Have Yan Hui in love learning, not move passion, not changeable. Pass-through not lucky, brief lifespan, die. This also then perish, not hear love learning person.' Jun cried when seeing the words... I, then, hurt for her...

Alo: That is indeed hard... the sentences, point to a Yan who loved learning, but, also point to the hurt, that is felt, when the Yan person was no longer alive, to be talked to... yes, surely the words did seem to be much too personal to you and Jun... words, are also, personal, to De and me...

Yan: To me, I am not concerned of my own life... let my chosen fate take me where it will, but, I am concerned for Jun. So now, now I am concerned for my own life, for the sole purpose of not causing Jun grief... now, I want to live, and live healthy, at least until after Jun passes... the reasoning, all revolves around Jun's happiness.

Alo: Interesting contrast there... one belief, says to love neighbors as love self, but here, the idea is to care for self, because, love others... opposites... reasons, also opposites...

Yan: Agreed, and also contrasts degree of love for others... if, only love others similarly as love self, then, my love for others would be small... but, also, that also appears to say that a person must be somewhat narcissistic if they could actually give a good love to other people... not acceptable to me... to me, if a person does not love another person infinitely more than themselves, then, cannot be a good person... no chidao...

Alo: Agreed... and, this topic is important, for us to pause, and to give mind to what we are doing today, and of how our actions will influence tomorrow...

Yan: My thoughts continue to revolve around ideas of what you had said... of occupations, foods, and risks... we are lucky here, in the community, to have our gardens, healthy food, healthy exercise, few risks of harm...

Alo: Kind of funny to me now, of a thing that I once wrote long years ago... 'cannot be cut in a bar, if you never go to bars'... all of life is of risks, but, some risks are unnecessary... risky occupations, unnecessary... but here, making the right choices, it does appear, to me, that the better choices, seem to be near to what we are living today in our community...

De: Elders, maybe not know... their choices, better than planned...

Alo: Yes, precisely... good choices, have, and enable, other good things also...

Yan: One generation... the community has accomplished so much, within only one generation... now I wonder, what might be, several generations into the future...

Alo: My opinion, is that it would be useful, for you to tell the elders of the ancient sentences... let the elders think about it also... I feel, that the elders will feel, similar to how we feel about the idea of caring for one's self, because, it cares for others...

Yan: I agree, and, also, have the opinion that the idea of caring about self ought to be presented within meaningful concepts, and not presented as rules and laws to obey... then, become law of heart, not law of government tyranny...

Alo: Very much agreed...

De: Yan Hui... he loved learning...

Jun: Unlucky of life... passed early... Yan, I will pass of grief, the same day that you pass... if you want me to live long, then, you live long first...

Yan: A competition... a competition to strive for the other person to become the winner... I like that...

Alo: For a long time I had been asking myself what sort of competitive game could be played, without being competitive... but here, now, Yan has answered my question... yes, 'not hear love learning person', would be, a hollow vacancy in all of our lives...
