Alo: Yan Hui... the first time I saw the name, it was used in the east man's translation... the translation, was, rather... lacking... and, when seeing the name written in modern language letters, the name appeared to be pronounced as 'hooey'...

De: Alo, he had also, been, vocal... saying, 'it was a lot of hooey!'... ha!

Alo: Ha! Yes... the east translation, it soured me from translating the paragraph myself, but, later, I did go back, and worked the ancient words... the ancient words are good... just need, to ignore the outsider translations. And, also, the dictionaries say that 'Hui' is pronounced similar to, like, 'whuay' with a short 'u'... not 'hooey' at all... in modern language use, with surname last, his name would be similar to Whuay Yan...

Yan: I had seen some of the outsider translations with the 'Hui' name, but I also did not think of the paragraphs as being useful of being translated... not until finding the one of Yan Hui... now, the words, seem a little personal to me...

Alo: For me also... partly, because of your own name, but also because the Yan of the ancient books, he was said to be a very good man... not like the other students...

Yan: Some of the other students... many words, not much heart seen within the words...

Alo: Very much agreed... but Yan Hui, he received a lot of praise from the main author... the praise, tells me, that Hui was a very good man... I like the one, that says, like... 'Master say: Hui, his heart three moons not be-separate benevolence, it remaining-surplus mimic sun moon extreme-peak, when then recover'...

Yan: And there, that says that Hui was not a normal student... he, Hui, was, surely, benevolent... another sentence, like... 'Master say: I and Hui talk whole day, not defy as stupid, step-back and examine this personal, satisfied with emit-issuance Hui... not stupid'... to speak a whole day, without emitting a stupid word... I am concerned of myself, being that good...

Jun: Rare... mistakes, fewer now... talk a whole day with me... I find nothing stupid...

Yan: Thank you, but I still feel, inadequate... I do not feel, that I possess a good talk...

Alo: Always good to us, but, of course, all of us also feel inadequate... all of us are concerned, of being inadequate, also... but look at Hui... compare... 'Master say: Virtuous! Hui. One basket food, one ladle drink, be humble on road. People not endure it burden-sadness... Hui, not change his happy. Virtuous! Hui'... virtue, benevolence, not need fancy words... not need, expensive food... not need, hoard stuff... a good man, his only scale needful of knowing, is of good heart...

Yan: That is true...I would not trade any of what I am, for any fancy words... makes no difference to me, if I am, or am not, knowledgeable of words... Jun, is my only scale of value... as long as I do not say too many stupid words, then, that is sufficient enough...

Alo: To care for other people, to care to not unsettle other people's thoughts, it is enough for all of us here, to present ourselves as what is proper... short sentences, like... 'Become benevolence, follow self... Master say: Non-propriety do-not look-at, non-propriety do-not hear, non-propriety do-not speak, non-propriety do-not move... Yan Yuan say: Hui even-if not clever, engage thing this spoken'... apparently, some people thought Hui was not clever with the topic, but, still, even if some of the people might have had a low opinion of Hui's ability to speak of the topic, still the people held a high opinion of Hui's abilties, and of benevolence... and of virtue... and of propriety... similar, perhaps, for all of us here... many people, surely judge us as not clever, but... none of us here, nor in the community, would judge another person as low, if the other person has a good heart...

Yan: And Hui apparently did have a good heart, plus, the abilities to achieve what the other people desired for themselves...

Alo: Agreed... Yan Hui... good man... good example, to weigh one's own value...

Yan: I have seen so many outsiders, whose self-value is weighed by what other people think... social approval... the outsiders only wanting praise from people of lower minds and hearts... often, seems, almost universal amongst outsiders... but if any one of us here, were to change, and to conform our lives, to meet social approval, then, we would also have to become as callous and cruel as the outsiders... we, would have to be ugly to each other... and there, that is a thing that I will not do...

Alo: Outsiders, be angry when other people do not kowtow... and this is one of the things that we now hope to hide from the younger people of our community... let the young grow up innocent, without the heart- and mind-destroying negativity of knowing how cruel outsiders can be...

Yan: Hui... maybe, use the ancient words about Hui, to be one of several different examples of good men... but, something else here... the words, saying that Hui was as if, like, what homeless people are seen in cities... today we think of the people as being dirty, unkempt, crude... but, no known ancient words hinted at that interpretation... clean man, caring for others, remaining clean and presentable himself... the example of Hui needs to include explanations... not interpret Hui within the ugliness of today's outsider cultures...

Alo: Agreed... also, the girls' dresses... we are money-poor in the eyes of outsiders, but we possess many things of quality that outsiders cannot achieve... then, not tell young that a good person must be poor of clothes, poor of food, and poor of words... tell, young, of Hui's beautiful heart... also, tell future young, of our wives' beautiful hearts and beautiful clothes... the elders' generation suffered the harm of having been invaded by outsiders... our generation suffered the harm of having learned bizarre things... but, future generations, we hope that what price was paid by us, will enable the future generations to not suffer similar...

De: Maybe, someday, will be two Yans, as examples...

Jun: Outsiders, cannot achieve, a Yan... my Yan, clean, works hard to support his family... clean words, suffers for others... cares, for others... beautiful heart, beautiful mind... I still feel as Ci, compared to Hui...

Yan: Four great pearls here... each, only see three...
