Yan: Alo showed me a draft of his translation of ancient words… I had not yet given time to translate the section's words myself, because, I had seen other translations from the east… the east translations spoke different words, said that the ancient words meant something different… the east translations had left me assuming that the ancient words were nonsense… vain… crude… childish. When I saw Alo's words, I was astonished! The words are beautiful! Not like the east words…

Alo: I also was astonished, and very pleased… moved of the heart, to see the words as the words were originally arranged… my draft translation is not yet comfortable, but close enough to present an idea of the ancients' great beauty with words…

Yan: To me, the words are as a song… the rhythms, patterns, latter notes connected to the previous notes… the song has meaning when heard all together, not much meaning if only pieces…

Jun: De is likely smiling for a similar reason as my own… Yan, and Alo, speak more similar…

De: Yes… pleasing…

Alo: There, to speak one word, but people listening know of what the word refers to… requires mindfulness, attention, and memories… mind connecting many previous thoughts to present thoughts… ancient texts did similar, but more… ancient words of brightness, later contrasted to darkness… story morals used different words that can mean similar analogies, and used contrasts that further strengthened the meanings behind the first words…

Yan: Alo, tell the girls the ancient words… I believe that they also will find the words to be beautiful…

Alo: 'Although heaven under very real (i.e. felt solid), creativity can pass-through silk-thread. Heaven under, it large pass-through. Standing heaven under, him large root. To-know heaven, earth, him change, give-birth-to man how exists place rely-on. Sincere sincere his benevolence, deep deep his deep, great great his heavens (high). Thoughtfulness not solid, intelligence bright (or bright bright). Sage to-know pass-through heaven heart person-ist, him, who able know him?' After I assembled the rough ideas of the words, I had to pause… I did not yet wish to change the words further… I did not wish to cause harm to the words' song… phrasing the words into our modern language, yes, the concepts might be better clear, but the song's heart dies… not what I could choose…

De: That is beautiful… my heart… it feels, moved…

Jun: I agree… the concepts, so many… all connected… so many thoughts within me… I cannot easily let-go of the thoughts, their reciprocating cyclically…

Yan: I had told Alo, that, perhaps, it might be okay to not finish the translation for now… maybe wait, a long time… let some of the new beauty fade with age… return to the beauty later, when it can be almost as if new again…

Alo: And I agree with Yan's thoughts… each time that I again approach the words, I am hesitant to change synonyms… the song is deep, wide, beautiful… changing the words into modern language, would be, as if, a symphony of symphonies reduced down to a kazoo. Someday I will indeed reform the ancient words into modern sentences, but I wish to keep the present song… keep it innocent… one that I can listen to again, each time I wish…

Yan: Ha! A kazoo would sound better than the east translations! Seriously! No exaggeration! Not even a little tiny bit!

Jun: Ha! The east translation must really be bad!

Yan: It is! Not just bad, it… well… you just to have to hear it for yourself… 'It is only the individual possessed of the most entire sincerity that can exist under Heaven, who can adjust the great invariable relations of mankind, establish the great fundamental virtues of humanity, and know the transforming and nurturing operations of Heaven and Earth;-shall this individual have any being or anything beyond himself on which he depends? Call him man in his ideal, how earnest is he! Call him an abyss, how deep is he! Call him Heaven, how vast is he! Who can know him, but he who is indeed quick in apprehension, clear in discernment, of far-reaching intelligence, and all-embracing knowledge, possessing all Heavenly virtue?'

De: Oh… hurt, heart… made me, want to cry… holding back, crying…

Jun: Me also… how horrible the east words…

Alo: Oh, I had forgotten those words… put them out of my mind… not wanted to remember… Yan! Bad! Bad Yan! Bad! Ha!

Yan: Ha! Sorry about that… yes, my bad… now, observing what I did, now I wish I had first paused, been mindful of my words, and not said words that might cause unhappy thoughts…

Jun: Become as quiet, as De, and Alo… my wish for myself to become also…

Alo: But Yan has already let the crazy cat out of the bag… scratches all over us… need rabies shots now… Ha!

Yan: Ha! I admit, it is as bad… too bad there are no medicines to cure east words…

Alo: But maybe the east words are useful, as contrasts, and a knowledge of east ways… the east man used the 'abyss' word, the word that he also used within his own east ideology that always referred to a fiery pit of eternal torment… surely the east man hated and was jealous of the ancients' words... and the east man repeatedly spoke nonsense, of things that cannot possibly exist within Nature, words that he also used within his pomposity of vainglory… the east man was intensely ignorant of every word he spoke…

Yan: And yet, he was, and still is, regarded as having been a high priest of all east knowledge…

Alo: And he wore his robe costume also…

Yan: Ha! Oh but of course!

Alo: Speaking poorly, of a man whose mind and heart were poor, it is not a good thing, but it does help to release some of the harmful emotions that the poor man caused within other people… posthumous karma…

Yan: And it does offer knowledge… it is useful to possess the knowledge, so that a person will know beforehand to not believe in east words… avoid the words… retain a distance from the words… do not permit one's self to be scratched by outsiders…

Alo: To choose, to generalize the words… to know, reason, rationalize that the east words are dirty, unworthy, and then simply avoid all east words, without remembering what the east words were! Ha!

Yan: Ha! Agreed!

De: Word songs… like the poems… Alo… please… when the time is felt right, for you… I believe many of us would very much enjoy, and appreciate, hearing the songs…

Jun: I agree… we had never heard word songs before… none exist within our language…

Alo: That is a warm thought… and, now, maybe I better understand, why the ancients so loved their poems…

Yan: If no musical instruments in one's home… if no opera singers… even the man without wealth, can enjoy hearing word songs…

Alo: The poet Yuan walked his path… an ancient master also… many people appreciated them… now, we also…
